A Short WebQuest on Blogging

Introduction

Blogs are probably the most common and prolific example of Web 2.0. Essentially anyone can set up a blog and be publishing anything they want in a matter of minutes. This short WebQuest is going to give us a chance to really explore the significance of blogs and then examine ways you might integrate blogs into your curriculum.

Task

1. Set up a Blogger account and join the GUHSD2006 collaboration blog.
2. Examine blogs from the current conflict in the Middle East and analyze their value.
3. Examine educational blogs implemented in a K-12 classroom, classify their use, and develop ideas for personal implementation.
